Actually I didn't want to write also in english, cause it takes a lot of time, but I will do that for my Hostfamily and the rest living in America. :)
I wrote all down on the plane, cause I was really bored. ^^
Well, when I got my ticket at the airport I thought that it happens now and that I have to say goodbye to Germany, but I still didn't realize it then. I went to the security controls on time and then I waited ~30min to get on board. When all took their seats the captain told us that we have to wait ~40min to start, cause there was fog in Frankfurt and therefore there was an aircraft storage. Almost all were angry, cause they had to get their next flights. But we couldn't change that situation and therefore we had to wait.
Next to me sat a stewardess and we talked a bit. Indeed with much delay, but the hope we can get our next flights, we started a few minutes to 7am. (actually we should have started at 6:05am)
We got a snack and something to drink. When we arrived at the airport in Frankfurt I had to hurry up to get to the gate, but I didn't know my gate, cause it wasn't written on my ticket. So I had to find out where I have to go. On the screen was just: ?i. I didn't know what it means and therefore I went to a control to ask. After I was told my gate I started running to it, cause it was a few minutes past 8am and my flight should have gone at 8:20am. It felt like my gate is 100km away and so I arrived there breathless. :P A man came over to me and asked me to give him my passport and ticket. I did and then a women wanted to get to know my name, cause there were missing a passenger. (I think it was me, cause it was very late) :) The man who took my passport and ticket asked me some questions like: "Did you pack your bag yourself?" haha It was really funny. He let me go and I ran to the airplane. One of the stewardess said: "Ohh hello! Last but not least!" ^^ She showed me where I had to take my seat, cause the airplane was really big. (3 seats each on the left and right and 3 seats in the middle.) I had a little screen in front of me to watch movies or listen to some music, but after ~1 hour it was broken. I couldn't touch anything any longer. I sat in the middle on the left side and next to me sat two men. The man on the right was also german and he helped me to fill out the documents I have to had to go into the US. It was ~2:30am (US time) when we got breakfast. (I chose Omelette, fruits, bun and orange juice, but I just ate the omelette and fruits) I began watching a movie in the beginning, but then I became more and more tired and stopped it. I listened to some music and watched a film on my Ipod later, when my screen was broken. :P When we started landing my head hurt much. It hurt from the forhead to the eyes. I never had that before when I flew. It still hurt when I was at the Chicago airport and later on in Flandreau. At the airport in chicago I didn't know where I have to go, cause it is really big. I asked a man for help and he told me the way. I had to take a train to my terminal. At my terminal I had to go to the end of it and it took a long time again to get over there. I had to hurry up (or rather I thought in that moment) and I came to my gate breathless again. Then I saw that the boarding didn't started and I bought something to drink with dollar for the first time. The airplane which took me to Sioux Falls was much smaller than the one to Chicago. There were just two seats on the right and one seat on the left side. I had a window seat and therefore I could see South Dakota from upside. It looked really strange, cause it looks like someone draw the street with a ruler. :P
My head hurt again and I didn't sleep for many hours, so I relaxed till we arrived at Sioux Falls. At the airport Tammie, Dana and my IEC JoAnne were waiting for me. We picked up my baggage and went away. I was shocked, cause it was like 30 degrees or more. It was really hot. We had to do some things before we got home, like to activate my phone or went shopping some food.
I went to bed at ~8pm and I could sleep off. At the next day Danielle and Jaylin took me to the bakery and my breakfast was a donut! :) Then I had an appointment at school. My principial is really nice. (better than the one I have in Germany!) My first schoolday is monday. It is quite strange that you have always the same lessons each day in America. Afterwards we had to go to the hospital to translate my dates for school. After that we went to some shops and I bought some new things. But we couldn't shop for a long time, cause we had Jaylin and Drevyn with us and they became tired. But we will go another day to the mall. :)
Okay my first impressions of America were: Oh my god! All is so big here! Every second car is a truck. The cars are bigger, the streets are wider and you can call someone while you are driving! :P
I will write a new post when something happens! :)
