All the trouble before flying to the US!

Well, that's my first blog!
Last week I got my hostfamily in Flandreau, SD! It was very confusing, cause EF called almost all students to tell us that they won't give us a family, cause they don't have any more families. They also called me! I was very sad, cause I had to choose between going to Honolulu for one year or going to Britain for half a year and then going to the States also for half a year. On the one hand I wanted to go to Honolulu, cause it's very nice and warm there. But I would have had to go to a language school and it would have become boring for one year, cause you only have got English classes (35 lessons per week). In Britain I would have to go to a language school, too. But half a year would have been okay, but I don't wanted to go to Britain, cause it's not so far away. Therefore I asked my friend Ivan, who is still in SD for some weeks, if he could help me of finding a hostfamily ourselves. He gave my information to his IEC and on the next day his IEC found a family who was interested in me. At the same time I often spoke to EF in Germany. But at the end of the week I got a call from EF and they said that the family wants to host me. I was very happy, cause I didn't have to choose between the alternatives. The only problem was that EF now had to save my placement. On Saturday afternoon I got a call from EF again and then they told me when I will fly. That's on Thursday, 25th. Today I already wrote with my hostmum. I'm the happiest girl now and I'm sooo excited to meet them all there!
